IT’S FINALLY FRIDAYYYYYYYY!!!
This week was honestly a week from hell. Actually, it wasn’t that bad (trust me, the week of a press event never fails to be the worst right up until the event is over. Thankfully, I have a break from that type of insanity until the end of August) but it was definitely one of those weeks where very little went right. To say that I’m looking forward to the weekend is a severe understatement!
While I’m on the subject, let me crowdsource a little here. What do you guys do when you know you have a stressful week on the horizon to keep your sanity? Do you exercise? Or maybe cook like a fiend? What’s your release? I’m always open to trying new things….!
Moving on to the weekend plans, I’m so lucky that my parents still live close by. Unlike many of my friend’s parents who hit the road as soon as the kids graduated college, mine decided to hang around for just a little longer. Trust me, they are moving in the direction of relocating somewhere significantly more warm but until then? I spend as much time with them as possible! My dad’s birthday was last month, so we did a little Father’s Day/ Birthday celebration all rolled up into one. This weekend we’re continuing with the party and going to BBQ out in the backyard of my parents home, let’s just pray that the weather cooperates!
In the spirit of going into the weekend on the right note, let’s check out some of the highlights from this week:
1. This gorgeous sunset. I’m lucky to live with this sick view, HQ and I try and take advantage as much as possible and go for a sunset stroll whenever we can. Sometimes I still can’t believe how literally #blessed I am. Whew.
2. Check out this literal Behind the Scenes shot from the office! We were helping our social team make the cute GIF that went live on our Instagram for #NationalDonutDay…it was my big break!
3. This little monster has been on a TEAR lately. Hana is generally a super mellow cat but now that I have a hobby that involves a lot of little pieces of paper and STUFF in general, she has taken to getting very involved in my Instagram shoots. Hilarious. On a side note, I’m OBSESSED with my new #MessyBox subscription. I’m definitely not a scrapbooker but I’ve always loved journaling. Now I’m taking it to the next level by kind of bringing my journaling to life a little bit by adding in souvenirs from my travels. I dig it.
4. Ramen. I’m a HUUUUUUUUUUGE Ramen fan and I finally had the chance to go to my local asian marketplace for literally the best Ramen outside of NYC. Pictured is the Spicy Miso (my personal fave) and pickled egg. Mmm.
And that’s it! Have an awesome weekend everyone, I’ll see you right back here next week for more awesome content. I promise now that life has slowed down a little bit, I’m really looking forward to pushing more greatness out into the world because honestly? I miss blogging. More to come!
