July! How is it already July?
I hope everyone had a fantastic Fourth of July holiday, I know that I definitely did. Hector and I took advantage of sleeping in and didn’t wake up on our day off until after noon. It was great. Of course, I completely forgot to take photos of our food because we ate it all ridiculously fast so here is a cute quintessential sparkler shot. Who doesn’t love a good sparkler or firework show?
I cannot believe how fast time flies when you’re having fun…and boy have I been having a lot of fun. This week will be no different as I’m flying out to LA for Beauty Con at the end of the week…to say I’m excited is a freaking understatement. The best part about the trip (other than brushing elbows with talent) is that I’m going to be able to see some of my West Coast friends that I haven’t seen in months. So exciting!
With the entire month stretching out ahead of us, I’ve decided to come up with a little bucket list of things to do over the next twenty-whatever days…just to make sure I’m getting the best of the gorgeous weather that has FINALLY #blessed the Tri-State area (took long enough, right?)
1. Go to the beach
I know, it’s totally shameful that I haven’t been yet but to be fair…it seems as though the rain only comes to Jersey on the weekend. That doesn’t really bode well with beach days, you know? This month I PROMISE I will get my butt to the beach where I can totally flatline for an hour or five. Until then, I’ll keep dreaming of the Charleston beach that I got a glimpse of last week…. le sigh.
2. Go to Coney Island
Along the same lines as the beach, I’ve never been to Coney Island and I really freaking want to go. Who has been? Is Smorgasborg still happening? Did I even spell that right?
3. Tune up my car
Why is it that your vehicle always gives you attitude at the MOST inopportune times? I swear, I fix one thing on my bug and something else breaks. Does this happen to anyone else?!?!?!!
4. Welcome my new kitty Hanna into our home!
Yep, that’s right. We’re fostering another pet! Hanna is a lovely kitty looking for her fur-ever home…If you’re in the NYC area and are looking for a family friendly loving kitty cat, please contact me! I’d love to introduce you two!
5. Post regularly for a month
I know I’ve been slacking on my Internet life, but guys. Working full-time + travel has been kicking my ass…but I’m getting used to it! I’m going to make it a priority/ goal to kick it on the Internet for this whole month and take it from there.
Well, I’ve already come a pretty long way with this goal… particularly knowing that I have LA at the end of the week. Let’s see if I can keep the momentum going and end up somewhere cool at the end of the month too! Also, if you’re interested in keeping up with me realtime, don’t forget to follow me on SnapChat at @VictoriaSneden !
What’s on your July to-do list?
Have anything fun or interesting planned?
