And I’m back. I know, I know, I left you all hanging there for a week or so and I’m SO SORRY about that. But have no fear minions, I’m back and bloggier than ever. Don’t forget, if you guys ever feel like you’re going through VS withdrawl because I’m not updating here as frequently as I should be definitely check out my other platforms. I’m all over the Twitter machine on the regs because my life is a joke, and I often camwhore over in the Instagram world too. While you’re at it, you might as well add me on Pinterest as well because I’m addicted and let’s throw in my Google+ too because even though we all have literally NO IDEA what G+ is for we all use it anyway. Right? Right.
So after the whole #NaBloPoMo challenge that I took throughout November I discovered that, while I loved blogging every day for 30 days because I’m a psycho, I also totally burned myself out. This was definitely my favorite post of the month, but to be honest I reallllllly needed this little blogcation over the last week or so because it got to the point where the sight of my computer made me want to puke. Just keeping it real with you all.
I figured what better way to come back then with sharing my list of 2015 intentions with you all both for myself personally and professionally (including sharing a little bit of what VictoriaSneden.com has in store for you…trust me, don’t wanna miss that announcement). I used to believe in resolutions just like everyone and their mother, but I found that as soon as you blew it with one of your resolutions, the rest usually followed suite and I don’t like giving up like that. So ‘intentions’ is a better way of me committing myself to not giving up even if I waver a little bit on my quest to self-discovery…you know?
1. Get Healthy With Me!
Like everyone else, I really would like this year to be the year that I start forming real adult fitness habits that I stick to. I recommitted myself to the Weight Watchers lifestyle as of this morning (Monday) and I’m so excited to attend my first meeting since the summer this Friday. I love the WW community and I grew really close to the women in my weekly meetings, I’m anxious to get back to weighing in regularly and everything so start holding myself accountable for what I’m putting into my body. I also can’t wait to hit the ground running again, literally. I got a fun new running product to review for you guys (with some discount codes to share!) that will be going live a little later this week, I’m hoping that will be all the motivation I need to get up and get moving regardless of the -298119129383 degree weather outside.
2. Get a Big Girl Job
While I love blogging, I’m really a PR girl at heart. My current internship at MAC Cosmetics has assured me that I’m in the right industry for what I want to do, and ideally I’d love to graduate in May with a full-time job offer somewhere in the beauty PR world.
Blogging is my bread and butter and this little corner of the webosphere is my baby. VS.com has become a much bigger part of my life then I ever anticipated and that’s all thanks to YOU! My awesome readers that check back here every day even when I’m sucking it up and not posting regularly like I should be. I’d love to land a corporate sponsor with a brand that I truly love in 2015, and I’m planning on treating you guys to some amazing giveaways to celebrate all of my blogging milestones…because who doesn’t like presents? Starting in 2015, I’m planning on upping my editorial schedule to 5 days a week including not just beauty posts but lifestyle, travel, food, and more. I’ve particularly been getting a lot of requests for more health/restaurant review posts so keep an eye out for those as well.
4. See the World
I feel like this is an intention of mine every year and I feel like every year I’m making strides to broaden my horizons just a little bit more. 2015 is booking up to be a year of travel and I couldn’t be more excited! For now I’ve got Portland OR, Vegas, Costa Rica, Maine, and Florida all definitely on the map…if any of you live in those corners of the world and want to get coffee on me, don’t hesitate to reach out! If you hate coffee, let’s do fro-yo. K? Cool.
What’s on your list of 2015 intentions?
I’d love to hear them!
